Randomizing~ Plus Laogong's Birthday Celebration!!!! =D

Bought a few stuffs from my favorite store "Daiso" at IMM sometime ago with Laogong...Must-go place whenever we're at IMM!!!

Heels padding, a leopard-printed book cover (can't use it for any of my books at all cuz too small..) and faux lashes~ *Ohh lala...
My passion for faux lashes never dies!! NEVER!!! YUP!!! I've got like tons and tons of faux lashes (new ones lor!) in different styles but I just couldn't resist stocking more and more!! *Shrugs

I guess that's the thing with us, girls...Don't you agree?? *Giggles

And ohh...Went into JB with Laogong and my brother during one of the weekends for petrol, bike repairs and food~

Bought some snacks too...*Yum
Went to look for Ping...I couldn't remember when but we chatted about loads of stuffs and she passed me, pressies which she bought from Shanghai...I'm sooo loving it!!! *Muacks Ping~

Hello Kitties!!! Ping knows me best~ =D

3 October 2008, Friday (Happy Birthday to my Precious!!!)

New top for Laogong to wear on his birthday!! =D
I woke up pretty early in the morning, just to prepare myself and the program for Laogong's birthday...Was sooo tiring but the efforts were definitely worth it and Laogong loved it!! =D

Headed back to Laogong's place after everything was done to make that night a perfect and memorable one for him...Rested for a short while at Laogong's place upon reaching while he prepared himself...

Helped Laogong to style his hair and we're ready to move off!!

Hailed for a cab under Laogong's place cuz I forbade him from riding his mistress out...I wanted to give Laogong a surprise as to where I would be bringing him for dinner but he just kept bugging me for the location...Even though I've not revealed anything to Laogong...*Giggles

I kept mum until we got onto a cab and Laogong only knew of the place when I told the cab driver...Laogong still had no idea where the place was and I teased him about it...*LOL

Arrived at this secret hide-out "Cassis", 7pm sharp! Just in time for my reservation! =D

Laogong was totally surprised when he arrived and I'm just glad that he liked what I've arranged for him...

"Cassis" is a hidden gem away from the hustles and bustles and serves fine French cuisine amongst wine and desserts...Both Laogong and I were really impressed by the services rendered and food was definitely good!

Ambience wise, definitely a good place for romantic dates! Well that is part of the reason for celebrating Laogong's birthday at "Cassis"!! =D

We had a big place all to ourselves and Laogong actually felt weird cuz he's not used to it...Even kept asking me why isn't there anyone sitting around us? *Giggles

Laogong told me he feels as though we're eating in a restaurant that's been fully booked by us...That's why we're the only ones dinning there...*Lol

We're served with bread and garlic spread and sparkling water upon sitting down...The garlic spread's really yummy and Laogong just loves it sooo much that he kept having another serving of bread...

Laogong and I settled for recommendations from the waitress when we couldn't decide which to order...Two-thumbs up for the prompt and detailed service!!

Both of us had Shirley Temples~
Our favorite drink! =D
Candid shot of Laogong~
Mini pond just beside where we sat~
This is what Laogong means by nobody sitting around us~ *Giggles
Laogong, did you felt "special" like this? =P
The other tent...Which has people sitting and dinning~ =D
Chairs all blocking sooo can't see and the tent area's sunken as well...
Happy Laogong with his garlic-spreaded bread~
(>.<) Noticed my face looks kinda bloated? That's cuz Laogong asked for a shot when I was munching on the bread~
The kind waitress offered to take photos for us~
Starters! Urm, I can't remember the name cuz it's in French?! BUT!! That's smoked salmon you're looking at~ =D
Home-made smoked salmon which screams EXTREME GOODNESS!!!
And...Pea broth... *Yummy!!!! Laogong isn't too used to the taste sooo we exchanged our starters~
Us with our main course~ =D
My Scallop with Risottos...Urm yeah I'm not sure about the exact name again but this is extremely delicious lah!!!!!!
Laogong's chicken with noodles~ (>.<) Sounds unglam but I don't know the name lah... Very very very yummilicious too!!!
Halfway through our more than satisfying (it's AMAZING LAH!!) dinner, I made up an excuse to go to the ladies but secretly instructed the staffs to bring out Laogong's cake upon clearing up our main course...

Laogong predicted and sorta expected it but he was still very happy and even a lil' embarrassed when the staffs (came in a small group) approached and sang "Happy Birthday to you...Happy birthday to Mr Precious...Happy...Birthday to you~" for him...

"Mr Precious" was lifted from what I had on the cake for Laogong...The cute staffs didn't knew Laogong's name, hence, "Mr Precious"!! *Chuckles

I was just sooo glad when I saw Laogong's expression cuz I knew he had really enjoyed himself!

Laogong and I with his "Oreo Cookies and Cream" ice cream cake~ =D
Notice that now?? =D
Happy 25th Birthday to My Precious!! *Muacks
My Precious with his cake~
Cutting the cake~
Laogong smiling sooo happily!! =D
You would think Laogong and I aren't full after having sooo lil' for dinner but I tell you!! Laogong and I were really full to the max, after the dinner!!! I couldn't down the piece of cake Laogong sliced for me and he was even fuller after finishing everything!!

Delicious food, wonderful services and lovely ambience had our night painted sooo beautifully~ Who could have thought such lil' amount of food can actually fill up our hungry stomachs! =D

On top of that, we're were served desserts by the kind waitress (this waitress actually served us throughout the entire dinner!! Very attentive and prompt!!!) whom told us it was complimentary on the head chef's behalf!!!! Both Laogong and I really, really, really appreciated the small gesture!!! =D

Thank sooo much to "Cassis" for these sinful yet lovely desserts!!
While Laogong was busy having his cake and desserts, the waitress suddenly brought out his birthday pressie!!! *YES!!! My instructions again!!! =D

This time round, I really got Laogong surprised!!!! And, of course I would like to thank the waitress for helping me out! I forgotten to ask for her name sooo I guess I'm just thank her on my blog~ =D

Cam-whored a lil' after we're done with all the eating...*Hees
Laogong and I again~
ME, me, me...
Contented, are you?? =D
Both Laogong and I were totally maxed-out (too full!!!) after finishing everything~ (>.<) Finally we asked for the bill and were ready to leave...The same waitress was kind to the extent of asking us if we needed a cab, which of course I readily agreed to... After settling the tab, we're guided to the other side of the restaurant by the receptionist (Elfna's her name...I've placed my reservations with her previously~) to wait for the cab to arrive... Took photos of this lovely place while we're resting and waiting for the cab...
That's the kitchen area whereby the head chef; Eric Guilbert (michelin-star chef) and his co-chefs does the cooking~
Open-concept allowing all diners a full-view of what's cooking hot!! =D
By the way, I think Chef Guilbert wasn't cooking for the night as I saw him busy entertaining his guests and also guiding his chefs...From what I saw through the kitchen, all his chefs are really bald as mentioned in the reviews I've read online!! Seeing is believing~ =D

Anyway both Laogong and I had really enjoyed this lovely night and if hadn't for "Cassis" top quality services, this night would never be sooo good~

Here's the other part of "Cassis", ain't it just romantic??
Goodbye "Cassis"~
Our cab arrived shortly and we headed back to Laogong's place...Had him opened up his pressie and I guess he likes it too although it was not what he really thought of getting...

Laogong with his big big pressie!! =D
Yada, yada...Cam-whored during the process of watching Laogong opening his pressie...(>.<)
Another shot..(Looks kinda dumb here..)
Laogong sooo engrossed with his new "toy"~
Yup!!! It's a radio-controlled "Subaru"!!!
Laogong with his new "Subaru"~ =D
We rested for a short while after that and Annie came home with Laogong's second birthday cake~ =D

Annie and I sang the birthday song for him and we took some photos too!

Laogong's birthday cake from his family~
Laogong very happy on this day, right?? =D
Laogong and Annie (his sister) and oooh, caught their mum behind...(>.<)
Of course not forgetting Laogong and me! =P
Laogong made his wish...
And then cuts the cake~
I had a really small slice of the cake cuz my stomach was too bloated from the dinner earlier on, sooo was Laogong too but he still managed to finish his "big" slice of cake (I cut de hor!!)...*Giggles

Headed down to JP after the cakes to catch our late-night matinee!!!

My outfit matched Laogong's for this night~ =D
By the way, the top and bottom was what I bought from 77th Street (as mentioned in previous post)...
We caught "Connected" and I only got to know that it was actually a re-make of the English version of "Cellular" at the end of the movie...Nevertheless Laogong and I thought of this movie as a pretty good one! Especially when Barbie Hsu (Laogong's idol) and Louis Khoo (Hong Kong hunk) are starring in this production~

All in all, it is a movie worthy of your pennies!!

I'm sooo vain, yeah I know that~ =D

4 October 2008, Saturday

Met up with Rennis and Emeleen at Holland Village for Laogong's belated-birthday celebration...We dined at "Sushi Tei" (second floor) and ordered lots of delicious food!!!

My Kimchi!!! =D
100% Kimchi lover okies!!! Had this all to myself cuz nobody eats it except me...
Another favorite of mine (had this all to myself as well), Hotate Misomayo!!! *Slurps~
However "Sushi Tei" in Holland Village doesn't seems to be cooking this fine lor...
Scallops sooo hard when I bite!!! A lil disappointed~
Laogong and I had this slurpilicious (no such word? Yeah, it's because I invent!) clams miso soup!!! Just tastes too heavenly~
Laogong and I~ Photo taken by Rennis...*Thanks!
See our table?? Full of food!!! =D
Emeleen and Rennis~
Although most of the food was wonderful but I must say the services sucked totally!! The staffs seemed to be quite ignorant when it comes to serving customers, doing things ever sooo slowly and taking forever to come...

Ohh!! I must say this as well!!! I totally hated it when we went up to the second floor, the way one of the staffs told us "Hello! Put your shoes there (meaning; on the rack)"...Like what the hell??? We're customers, is this the manner in which all "Sushi Tei" staffs all talk in???

Luckily I was in good mood and I didn't wanted to spoilt the night sooo I just let the matter rest...Well we didn't just encountered this!! I accidentally spilled my can of coke while pouring it into the glass sooo I asked the staff (a guy) to clean it up, his attitude sucks too!!! He wiped off the spilled coke with a very irritated face and placed back everything on the table sooo LOUDLY after wiping off the coke which includes my glass!!!

Really irritating!!! I did not do it on purpose and does he has to give me such services?? Never mind about that cuz I, myself ain't that good as well...And sooo, I let the matter rest too~ *Duh

I realised every staffs at this particular branch, has the same lousy attitude but the whole restaurant's still very crowded~ (-.-)

If not for the food, seriously I don't think there would be much patrons at all...Given such lousy services!!

I definitely wouldn't wanna go back to that branch again..."Sushi Tei" at Vivo/ Paragon's way better!!

Anyway cast that aside...We all went for some ice creams at "Haagen Dazs" after the "UNPLEASANT" dinner...

Laogong and I shared 3 scoops urm, or rather I had just the raspberry sorbet (the one in dark pink) and Laogong finished the rest cuz I find the other two, too sweet...

Our ice-creams with whipped cream~ *yummy
