Late postings~

Finally~ =)) Updates on Valentine's and CNY~ Enjoy reading!!

11 Feb 2008, Monday

Pre-celebrated our Valentine's day due to my work constraint and Laogong's approaching reservist...

Laogong had everything planned in advance this time round, making me sooo happy with all the arrangements cuz it's totally different from his usual hasty planning habits...

Our first stop was Marina Square, where Laogong bought me to "Yuki on Yaki" for lunch...We had a really enjoyable lunchtime there, which consisted of a very satisfying full meal plus the frying of ice-creams!!

Laogong does most of the cooking!
Yummylicious steamboat~
There weren't much people dining in "Yuki on Yaki" thus, after our steamboat we're given another table immediately for our ice creams without having to wait for the staffs to clear up the steamboat...

After we've changed to a new table , I went to get us the liquid ice-creams which we could fry...I got only 3 flavors: Green tea, Strawberry and Yam...I was back at the table after getting all the liquid ice creams and that was when Laogong told me that he had to go to the toilet...

I was the least suspicions sooo I nodded in response to what Laogong said, then continued to start frying my ice cream~ 5 minutes later, Laogong came back with a fresh bouquet of champagne and pink roses before my eyes...

Needless to say, I was totally caught by surprise...Contentment, surprise, gleeful expressions was written all over my face!!! All sorts of expressions related to happy, was inside me at once!! Was a lil' shy too after receiving the flowers from Laogong, cuz all the other diners had their all eyes on me...

Gave Laogong a kiss immediately...Feeling extremely good, we continued with the ice creams...One of the staffs came forward to teach us the correct technique of frying ice creams after seeing us tried and failed...

It was really interesting, seeing the helpful staff frying the ice creams...He even made us ice cream "M&Ms" and a bear ice cream patch...

And then...It was Laogong's turn to fry ice cream for me!! =P
My ice cream bear...*Giggles...
Very ugly lah, I know...Should have took a photo of the bear the staff made...
But, I forgot...
Laogong and I had fun taking turns to fry the ice creams and we managed to finish the 3 flavors up before leaving...Waited for Laogong to settle the bill then we window-shopped around Marina Square...

We went into "Spectacle Huts" and looked at the different eye wear frames they have, was thinking of getting myself a pair of glasses done since I lost it years ago during secondary school days...

Fancied a few designs but Laogong said some looked weird on me, bought and made none in the end...The final design that I chose was from "Chanel's"...Chic and simple looking...Made inquiries about the frames and lens prices then left, cuz Laogong had dinner plans for us...

I told Laogong that I would be definitely be back, to get myself those pair of eye wear! =D

2nd stop, dinner at Esplanade~

Silly Laogong tried to hoax me into believing that, we had to take a cab to the restaurant where he had reserved for us both, when actually it's only a few minutes walk away from Marina Square at the Esplanade...

I still appreciate the effort that Laogong tried giving to me, sooo he could surprise me... =))

Laogong bought me to a restaurant called "Al Dente Trattoria" in Esplanade, and I was delighted by the scenic view from where we sat inside...

Al Dente Trattoria
Dining alfresco was wonderful!! It was also Laogong and my very first time dining in a restaurant like this...The ambience and food was good, not to mention the lovely views of overlooking the bay and city skyline...

And, did I mentioned that we could see the "Singapore Flyer" clearly, from where we sat too??*Chuckles...

The place was totally prefect for couples, as we noticed, was mostly filled with (including us)...

Candid shot of Laogong~ =P
Night was approaching as I took this photo...
The flight of stairs where we climbed up to...
Posing happily for Laogong, with my bouquet of roses and pressie!!
Laogong with my pressie of love~
Our "Shirley temples", appetizers and my minestrone soup ~
The smoked salmon was "LOVE"!!! =D
The settings of the restaurant~
Laogong and I shared the main course, a plate of "Carbonara" cuz I was too full from the "Yuki on Yaki" previously...

Chocolatey chocolate fondue by "Al Dente Trattoria"
Laogong finished the ice creams while I had most of the strawberries~ =D Marshmallows was yummy too~

A view of "Al Dente Trattoria"
Laogong and I went for a stroll after dinner and then we sat down by the river, enjoying the sea breeze~

Neon blue lights surrounds the "Singapore Flyer" during the night~
Clearer view of the "Singapore Flyer"...
Snapped a shot of Laogong's back while he's not noticing...=)
Ain't this lovely??
My favorite scene of the night~
Not forgetting to take photos of ourselves~
I had only "God" to thank for bringing you to me~
The most wonderful thing that happened to my life, was you!
Laogong and I went back to Marina Square after a short while, and we caught the movie "CJ 7" at "GV" for our last item of the night...

A funny, entertaining and touching movie, it was...I teared a lil' when there was this part of the movie that "Stephen Chow" passed away due to a fatal work accident...I must say that the lil' girl whom acted as his son, was a superb kid actor!!

"CJ 7" is a cute alien dog, and I would definitely want it as a pet if I could!! =D

Laogong and I went back to his place after the movie...It was indeed a wonderful day thou' it wasn't officially Valentine's day, what Laogong has done already made me felt like it is...

Picture of me at the end of the day...
A mix of pink and champagne roses~
Depicts Laogong's ultimate declaration of love for me~ =P
Blossoming love~
I'm more than contented to receive these roses!
Kissessss for my roses~
Couldn't resist taking photos with my roses again and again...*Giggles
There goes to show, I truly love the flowers Laogong bought! =D
Big head with small head~ *Bleahz
L.O.V.E
Immense joy all within me~
My pressie!!!
A spacious wallet with lotsa card compartments!
Laogong knew I was in need of a wallet for all of my cards~ =P
A lil' something for Laogong~
Marc Ecko's timepiece~ =D
I really feel sooo blissful having Laogong by my side all these while~ We're really meant to be together~ He'll be the only one I've ever need in my life~

One "HIM" could make my world go ga ga~ One "HIM" would make my life a whole lot better~

I love you with all my heart~ Happy Valentine's to my dearest Laogong~
Couldn't remember when I took this photo...
No make-up at all~ =P
Went to Jason's house with Laogong on day 4 of CNY to 拜年, (I suppose, couldn't exactly recalled when it is)....Had our dinner at Jason's place together with his family, his wife cooked a fish head curry and it was quite delicious...

Laogong and I spent half an hour more at Jason's place after finishing dinner, chatted with Jason's two adorable sons too...The younger one seemed to like Laogong more, while the elder one kept talking to me...=D

Went back to Laogong's place to rest after that...

9 February 2008, Saturday

Met up with Ping and Pengseng at Orchard, and we had "Seoul Garden" in Takashimaya for our lunch...

Laogong chatted with Pengseng while Ping and I catch on each other...Updating each other of news and gossips~ We spend a really great time together whilst having lunch, unfortunately we forgotten to take photos together~

Went over to Cineleisure after a hour plus of lunch at "Seoul Garden", all four of us were supposed to be watching movie but seats were sold out fast for the movie we wanted to watch...

Ended up going nowhere, and then finally parted ways with Ping and Pengseng cuz Laogong had to go for work...

8 February 2008, Friday

First day of CNY~ Woke up early in the morning, dolled myself up then waited for Laogong to come fetch me over to his place...

Boarded Laogong's dad's car upon reaching the void deck, and we're off to Laogong's grandma's house to 拜年...

We're the first few to be at Laogong's grandma's house but before long, the others came as well...Spend around more than an hour slacking around after finishing all the 拜年 thingy...

We got hungry then decided to go down to Macdonald's to grab ourselves lunch...Laogong's mummy and sister tagged along too leaving his dad back at grandma's place playing poker cards with the relatives...

We went back after our lunch and then watched "Norbit" on Laogong's laptop...Laogong and I fall asleep after we're done with "Norbit" in one of the rooms and then finally when it was 5pm, Laogong's dad was ready to go off...

Next stop was to their grandfather's place near Tiong Bahru...Laogong's dad went for work after dropping us down there and when we've arrived, Steven and his girlfriend were there too...

After all the regular 拜年, Laogong began chatting with Steven about his laptop and stuffs while I used Steven's laptop to surf the net...Less than 30minutes later, Steven and his girlfriend went out together while we still stayed on and watched tv~

Laogong then decided that it was time for us to go off too and asked his mummy and sister to tag along sooo we could all go back to JP for dinner together...Laogong's sister informed their dad about it and then we went back via MRT...

We had "Pizza Hut" for dinner back at JP and my brother also joined in...There was a total of 5 of us and Laogong ordered 3 pan pizzas for us all...Needless to say, we're all sooo full after the meal...

Saw my brother left on his bike while the rest of us strolled back to Laogong's house after the sumptuous spread...Rested for a short while upon reaching Laogong's place then we went back to my house...

Bought my dad some pizzas and Laogong also gave my dad mandarin oranges and did the 拜年...

Snapped a photo of Laogong being blur~ =))
Myself~
Laogong waited for me while I changed and removed all traces of makeup then we went back to his place where I stayed overnight....

Pardon for the serious lack of photos...I did brought my camera out but had clean forgotten about it in the end, thus, no photographs~ =P
