Well, yeah...Here's my updates about weekends spent previously...The delay's pretty obvious, but never mind about that for now...
New song on the block!!! Britney Spear's BIG comeback Hit Single : Gimme More
Enjoy~
31 August 2007, Friday
Went down for the "Comex" fair together with Laogong, but before that we had my favorite "fried MARS bars" and "cheese sausage" for takeaway, to please our empty stomachs...
"Comex" was crowded when Laogong and I reached but both of us reckoned that the crowd is lesser, as compared to the "IT Fair" held 2/3 months back...Plus, the prices offered for the gadgets this time round are cheaper too...
Laogong bought a 1 GB "MMC" for me at the "IT fair" back then at $40 plus, but "Comex" offers it at only $30 plus! Well, forget about the price differences cuz we bought our stuffs few months back...
Laogong likes going to such "fairs" , looking at the various IT products for sale...Me on the other hand, has no likes nor dislikes for these...I only go because I wanna accompany my Laogong~ =D We spent like 2 hours or sooo walking and browsing through, at the end of the day, Laogong bought a screen cleaning solution for his laptop, 50 packed "DVD" rewritable discs and a 4 GB "SanDisk" memory stick for our ''PSP" (got a free mini fan for buying that=P)...
We went off around 9.30pm, decided to go for some pizzas but "Pizza Hut" was closed already...Had a small tiff over what to eat for dinner with Laogong but all was resolved eventually after dining at my favorite "HongKong Cafe"...
Got back to JP just in time for our late-night movie : "Evan Almighty"...It's a good one even after "Bruce Almighty"sooo go catch it, if you wanna be in for the laughs...
Correction : Laogong and I watched "1408" on that night...A nice movie with interesting plots...My memory's failing cuz I only realised that I've watched "Evan Almighty" on the previous Friday...*Duh
Every Friday nights, our night~

Had our lunch at "Pizza Hut", got to hear some of the singings of contestants in a competition just beside "Pizza Hut"...Guessed that was a competition for the uncles and aunties, no comments on how most performed...Our ears definitely suffered quite a lil'...
Laogong and I headed down to the bus interchange after that, sooo we could take the shutter bus provided down to "Army Open House'07" held at Pasir Laba Camp...
It was raining earlier while Laogong and I lunched, and only stopped when we've got to the bus interchange...There was no crowds queuing for the shutter bus service sooo Laogong and I proceeded in, and we're both handed a brochure and poncho each...
Well, Laogong was walking in front of me before and after we boarded the shutter bus, he complained to me about this particular NS guy not giving him a poncho when he walked pass but gave the brochure and poncho to me immediately as soon as he saw me walked in...
Silly Laogong...Told me that he's not pleased with the NS guy, trying to wanna get a closer look at me...I wasn't the least bit in known about that cuz I merely took the stuffs and followed Laogong...
Anyway, we brushed off that topic and Laogong soon got all excited telling me about which bunk he used to stayed in, when the shutter bus drove through his camp (Jurong Camp)...There's still plenty that Laogong has told me but I'm not gonna continue yanking...
We reached the place after much touring around on the bus, and Shaolu actually saw me when I alighted from the bus...Too bad I didn't get to see his botak head~ Lols
Alright, pictures for now...
The picture Laogong took...
Extra sitting beside...*Shrugs

It's very nice thou' kinda hard to see in the strong sunlight...

Laogong and I saw them went down one by one, had no idea where they landed cuz it wasn't on our side...
Then....Continued taking photos again...=)

"Red" is my favorite color!! Lols
In fact, the color red is my whole family's favorite too!! Guess my Dad influenced me and my brother...In which family can you find this similarity? Chances are like 1 in 10, perhaps? Sooo I'm proud of that! =)

Nah, ain't his...Noticed the fake pilot behind? We could actually try sitting in the plane for a minute but the queue's a turn-off...

Cute kid here trying it out...Laogong wanted to try that too but gave up cuz there were too many kids waiting to do the same...

Laogong trying out the weapon designed and created in Singapre...
Made in Singapore leh~lols

It's a portable toilet!!
Noticed the Indian man made use of the mirror to comb his hair?
Laogong and I had a short tour around this toilet too, and it's really cool!! Bath, shit, pee all in this thing...
Although, I wonder where does all those shits and pees go to...Lols

There's also a portable baking/cooking stove...The size is also same like the ones in these photos...
Really nice, everything portable can go camping already...hahas..
One of the NS guy told Laogong about the functions of the refrigerator, and sooo Laogong posed him a question...
"Do you guys really get to use these in Singapore?"
The NS guy told Laogong that it's only made available to those who has training in other countries like "Taiwan"..etc...
After that, Laogong told me soldiers in Singapore no privileges...Boring~
I laughed...

=)
Sooo many people queued up for this plane, cuz they wanna experienced how it's like sitting inside...

It's hard having to capture a photo of the vehicle passengers-less...

Half-way through all the walkings, I saw a familiar face and that person waved to Laogong and me...
I looked harder and then realised, it was Jowell and her beau...
We had a short chat then suddenly another familiar face popped out...It was Elene and her boyfriend (Sky), Jowell and her beau then left while Laogong and I chatted with Elene and Sky...
Sucha coincidence, fancy bumping into a few familiar faces in one day...=)
Anyway, Laogong and I left after the short chat and I accompanied Laogong into this room, where he relived the moments of being a shooter in his army days...
Laogong told me that he gotten all the shots without a single miss, even the NS guy who stood by praised him for every shot he made...
I couldn't really see cuz I don't know how to...=P

Looks like a remote-control flying plane to you? Likewise for me!! =)
Laogong says these are spy planes, ones which you could set flying off to detect what the enemies do...

We're curious too and sooo tried it out, it turns out to be a night vision thingy and it's sooo cool!!!
One of the NS guy standing by for assistances, told us that we could photograph what's inside with our camera...
And I did just that with Laogong's help!! =D
But, after I took this photo and looked at it, couldn't help but felt that it's eerie-looking...

Laogong's already been there, done that all during his NS days, but he still likes to look at such stuffs and even thou' I've been to the army open house (held in Laogong's camp) few years back, when Laogong's in his uniform performing his duties there, I still like going for such events...
Besides, even if one's in NS before doesn't necessarily means he's seen all these stuffs before...It's as quoted by Laogong, he told me that in every camp it's different sooo you never know what's available here and what's not in there...
True to speak, cuz I don't remember seeing the "portables" few years back when at Laogong's camp open house...

The end~
And now,
Kiki and Lala (both my lovies) will say goodbye to you!! =D
Lala : Okies, okies...I know...
